got...I cannot [do not need to] give what someone else can give [that I cant]. What I need will be different fromakes life so very, very valuable. It is of value , has integrity, has guts and power and passion.

On the Sheela tubes, Sheela reports that her boss said ,'tell them to follow their hearts'. Although there may have been several times in my life when I didn't follow my heart one stands out when I was perhaps too young to have done anything else but I did what had been drummed into me: that I would come in by a certain time. I lost out on so much that day because once back there was no compensation-no one to talk with, share with. Technically it was the right thing to 'do as I was told' and   nothing felt wrong at the actual time . To learn from this lost opportunity for fun and interaction in a life starved of intelligent friends I now would try by any means, to get it together, to think differently, to answer the call of my heart.

P.S. Now as I look at it, I see I had promised to do something that my heart was already involved in . So perhaps I did follow my heart [undeveloped as it was] and it was only afterwards that I realised what was lost. Ah the uselessness of hindsight..does this ring any sort of bell?  to you?
