Overview

I am looking to connect with people who love Osho. I'm particularly interested to meet folks who love Osho and have met him. I wasn't fortunate enough to meet him, though I did have a vision (sic) in 1976 when I was 8, in which a figure in white robes appeared to me! I wasn't prone to hallucinations and this was only event of it kind.

As I looked at the figure I was overcome by love and had the bizarre (for an 8 year old) thought 'I want to be an old person who loves everyone'. True account of my one and only childhood vision!

Later, when I was 27 I became a Buddhist monk and remembered this vision. I often wondered why the vision was of someone in white robes and not in the Buddhist colours of maroon and saffron. As I got more involved with Osho I came to realise that in all the older photos he wore only white robes.

About two years ago while I was still a monk I bought Tantra, The Supreme Understanding. This was my first Osho book and the beginning of a love affair. I decided to stop being a monk about one year ago. This was a very difficult decision but I was finding it increasingly non-sensical for me at that juncture in my spiritual development. A few months ago I decided to take Sannyas.

My meditation has continued to deepen in the last year, but it is very difficult to let go of my past life as a monk. It was a brave decision I think, but hasn't been easy! Sometimes however things are simple. As a Sannyasin I can be utterly myself with nothing added. Just me. This is what I really want. Just to be myself. My letter of initiation included said 'Why not just simply be? Why unnecessarily hurry here and there? You are what existence wants you to be. Just relax'.

Osho said that after his death he would be available for ever. My hope is that with the catalyst of love towards the master and a simple wish to be oneself anything is possible!
